Loans
Student Loans
A loan is a sum of money lent to you with repayment conditions like interest payments. Student Loans can come from the government or a bank.
Government loans, available through Manitoba Student Aid, don’t accumulate interest until you stop being a full-time student. You will have six months after school ends to find a job and start paying the loan back.
You can ask your bank for a line of credit or a loan to pay for school. These loans have to be paid back regularly and have higher interest rates than student loans.
Manitoba Student Aid
Manitoba Student Aid provides money for post-secondary studies through loans, bursaries, and grants. In order to receive the bursaries and grants you have to apply for a loan.
